To register
a chat nickname, you have to have CoolChannel Account with that
same User ID (for example: if you want to register nick Bill,
you have to be the owner of account bill@coolchannel.com.
Therefore, to register nick, you must follow these steps:

First, Register an account with
CoolChannel with that user name
- Login to IRC using that nick, type /ns
register now
- The chat password for your chat nick will be sent to your CoolChannel
email account within 5 seconds, so check your email
to get the password.
- Go back to IRC, type /ns identify chatpassword
(You will have to use this
command everytime you log in chat)
- Type /ns set password Newpassword to change to your
password.
If
you in somehow forgot the chat password or accidentally
register your chatnick before register an account with CoolChannel, you
have to use your
CoolChannel email
account to send your request for your password to webmaster@coolchannel.com.
Remember, whoever owns the
CoolChannel account will own the chat
nick.

- To set nick protection so noone can use your nick, type /ns
set kill on
- To kill someone who is taking your chat nick, type /ns
