Standards Advisors (CSA) are the most important and special chatters
in CoolChannel Chatline. Official CSA's of CoolChannel Chatline are
expected to exhibit the highest standards of fairness, friendliness, and
usefulness in the chat rooms. Furthermore, CSA's conduct has a direct and
vital impact on the quality of chatting for all chatters. Thus, all
functionalities provided by CSA's require fairness, friendliness, and
great judgment, and must be dedicated to the protection of chatters'
rights and CoolChannel Chatline's interests.

CHAT LINE
CoolChannel here to provide
friends and users a friendly and warm chat environment, where everyone
can meet, enjoy making friends and having fun, as well as learning from
one another. Whether you are a chatter, a visitor, or a room owner,
please help CoolChannel enforce these rules to make the chatline an
excellent one:
- No cursing, obscene talks,
provoking, or harassment.
- No arguing/degrading conversation despite of topics.
- No flooding (excess join/part, nick change, text, excessive-use of
colors, cap lock, art drawing, or any of such nature) or any
action that harms CoolChannel's resources .

CHANNEL OPERATOR (CSA)
QUALIFICATION:
- Join #help often to help chatters and to get to know CSA team.
- You are a member of CoolChannel (we will contact you vie your
CoolChannel email), a regular chatter in the channel (log in at least
every other day) and have been chatting for at least 3 months
- Your friendly hospitality and attitude are recognized by general
public and preferred by 2 official CSAs, subjected to Server Admin's
approval
- You should have courage to stand for righteousness.
- No experience needed, will train.
If you think you have those qualification, CoolChannel is happy to have
you in the team. Please email webmaster@coolchannel.com
using your CoolChannel Email with your regular nick, and name of 2
reference OPs, please briefly state your principle as a CSA/CH;
You will be subjected to a short probation period and will be contacted
IF you are qualified.
CHANNEL OP'S PRIVILEGES:
- To have op access (password) to get opped whenever you join the
channel.
- To have power to kick/ban/mute whenever you feel appropriate.
- To be contacted on regular basic about CoolChannel's server and chat
rooms.
CHANNEL OP'S RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESTRAINS
Note: The term "Operators"
refers to CSA's and Admins
1. Operators are governed and
regulated by a supervising team which is supervised and authorized by
CoolChannel Chatline http://www.CoolChannel.com.
2. Operators shall obey the rules and procedures for operators that are
approved by the operator team.
3. Operators shall hold the welfare of the chat room.
4. Operators shall protect the rights of chatters which are defined in
CoolChannel Chatline's Codes
of Conduct.
5. Operators shall not permit the use of their passwords for any
unauthorized person to gain op status.
6. Operators shall hold personal responsibilities for opping another CSA
who has not logged in or +v for chatters.
7. Operators shall hold the rights and responsibilities to recommend
good chatters to be considered and promoted as potential operators to
the operator team.
8. Operators shall inform and notify all problematic matters, if any, to
the Sever IRC Operators immediately.
9. Operators shall inform Server IRC Operators if they hold any another
operator's position at any other chat rooms or network.
10. Operators shall exercise their self-control and good judgment before
taking any necessary actions or measures against ill-behaved chatters.
11. Operators shall not kick or ban any chatters for any reasons that
are not defined in "Codes of Conducts", except for some
exceptional reasons described below:
11.1. Chatter nickname is being frozen, and he or she asks for help.
11.2. Operator's nickname is being frozen, and he or she asks for help.
12. Operators shall give appropriate messages together with any kick/ban
actions against ill-behaved chatters.
12.1. Operators shall give warning messages a couple of times before
kicking/banning.
12.2. Operators are not allowed to give any inappropriate messages
together with kicking/banning.
12.3. Operators shall explain to chatters if they're concerned about
operators' appropriate actions.
13. Operators shall not swear or use inappropriate language to deceive
or attack any chatters or response to ill-behaved chatters. Response
fairly and grately.
14. Operators shall not use public chat room to promote personal
interests or to advance and encourage any personal agendas.
15. Operators shall not disclose any confidential information concerning
the business and technical process of CoolChannel Chatline without
approved consent.
16. Operators shall not fight against their fellow operators in the
public chat room. The conflicts must be reported and solved by the
operator team or server administrators.
17. Operators shall support each other to promote the welfare of the
chat room and protect the rights of chatters.
18. Operators must not ignore or refuse to help someone,
operators are obliged to try. Operators are not expected to know the
answer to everything, but are expected to point them in the right
direction of help.
19. Operators shall NOT maintain their own ban list (blacked list)
20.. Any Operator that is not active for 30 days without notice will
submit to access suspended.

DISCIPLINARY
ACTIONS AND PENALTIES
Operators who violate
the rules of practice are subject to the disciplinary actions and
penalties as described below. The degree of disciplinary actions and
penalties is based on the seriousness of violation.
1. Operators may be
asked to acknowledge and issue apologized statements either to the
operator team or chatters.
2. Operators may be asked to give up their op status.
3. Operators may be removed from the operator team temporarily.
4. Operators may be removed from the operator team permanently.
Any channel op that
violates CoolChannel chatline or chat channel OP's rules will subject to
access suspending without notice. If you are a user and found a CSA not
acting appropriately, please send your complain to CoolChannel (a log
file would be appreciated).
